Smart Marketing + Boosting Sales Using E-Commerce Wishlists

Smart marketing around "everyday" technologies can generate surprising results. Rapha, a performance roadwear company creatively promoted wishlists to help build brand advocates and increase sales.

Close to a 1/3 of our office bikes to work everyday and are huge Rapha fans. Rapha launched an email campaign to their existing customers and promoted this competition virally. In less than a week, Rapha received 960 Wishlists since launching the function on their site.

Smart marketing: The 1,000th person to create a Wishlist on their site received the most expensive item on their list, absolutely free. Simple marketing idea, inexpensive campaign, all with excellent results.

With the Rapha Wishlist you can select each and every product (even if it's not in stock) that you desire for future purchase. You can then view your Wishlist from your account page and forward it via email to friends and family, just in time for the holidays.
